Topics Discussed

Main Dock and Boat Etiquette:

Long term parking - if you will be gone longer than two weeks, please pull your boat rather than using dock space

If you will be gone overnight upto two weeks, please use the U shaped long term dock. If you have a pontoon or larger boat, please use the outside of the U - there is room for two smaller boats within the U.

Did you know? It is common dock etiquette that you may adjust the position of someone else’s boat if you need to! Please be courteous and secure a boat that you might move if you need to.

Parking Lot Space:

It was noted that as per our bylaws, storage in the lot is designated for island properties. That said, there is extra room if we make efficient use of the space we have. To that end, it’s time for a lot clean up.

Please label anything you have in the lot with your name. We all have 30 days (until August 26 to do this). If you cannot get to the lot to do this, please reach out to one of your officers or board members! We are happy to help.

After August 26, any unlabeled articles in the lot will be moved to the center of the lot. After 30 days (September 26), anything unclaimed will be removed.

Additional Items:

The attendees agreed that there should be no brandishing of firearms of any kind in any of the common areas.

Officer Reports:

Heather Weafer presented the budget, suggestions were made about allocating funds to have the main dock painted and more gravel work done in the lot. If anyone would like to put forth their services for painting the dock, please reach out to a board member or Jesse.

The annual assessment will remain at $295 for the 2025 - 2026 fiscal year. This assessment will be due on March 1 2026.

Meeting was adjourned, but everyone stuck around for a few minutes of fun banter.

In all of my work, I seek the moments when ordinary people are at their most extraordinary, their most special, and most purely themselves. We can all relate to these average moments of magic and grace, of apartness and connectedness.
